Kids on Spring Break? Have Family Hot Tub Time
March 12, 2021
It seems like life gets busier and busier every year. The days seem long, but at the same time, life is flying by. Carving out family time is more important than ever, but planning family time that EVERYONE will enjoy isn’t as easy as it seems. How about setting aside time for family time in your hot tub while the kids are on spring break this year? You can be sure that family time in your hot tub will be an activity that everyone will enjoy and remember for years to come. Here are some of our practical ideas:
Hot Tub Game Night
Your hot tub might not be the first location that pops into your head for your family game night, but it is actually a great place for a game night. Typical pool games like water hockey and water ping pong take on a new level of fun when paired with the bubbly water. If you have older kids or just prefer a slower pace, you can actually purchase waterproof cards and floating trays that allow you to play any of your favorite card games. No matter what game you choose, hot tub game night is sure to be a hit.
Hot Tub Movie Night
If games aren’t really your style, try a movie night. You can pick up an inexpensive projector for less than $100, project the movie on to a white sheet or even onto the side of your house. Then jump into the hot tub for a movie night that you and your kids are sure to love.
Hot Tub Conversations
There is something to be said for the simplicity of just sitting around and talking to your kids. In the age we are living, it is nearly impossible to get your kids to put down their devices long enough to say two words let alone have a real conversation. Electronics and water don’t mix very well, so a family soak could just earn you that conversation you have been hoping for and if you are really lucky you might even get a little eye contact and a real smile.
Whether you are playing games, watching a movie or just having a good conversation, you can round out your hot tub family time with some burgers on the grill and s’mores in the fire pit. Your hot tub family time this spring break is sure to reconnect and rejuvenate your family.
