The table is 8’ in length, and the playing surface is felt-covered 1’’ thick sheet of real slate. A beam system located underneath the table supports the heavy slate. For style, the Parkside is made of mahogany hardwood, through and through. All-hardwood pool tables are difficult to find, and the table is finished in an attractive medium dark Copenhagen finish to highlight the luster of the natural wood.  The four legs are a tapered design.
